selling
if you want to sell your goods, bring them to replay and we will evaluate them.
with 15 years experience we have 100% confidence in our valuations. you then have a choice ...
- leave the goods on consignment wherein replay takes a commission once the goods
are sold,
no sale - no charge.
- accept a cash offer - this will obviously be less than you'll get if you take the consignment
route, as replay now takes the risk of obtaining the sale, and accepting any goods with latent
defects that may manifest themselves after purchase. You will still be getting a
fair price for your goods - certainly more than at other "cash" based second-hand stores .
- buying
when buying from replay you can rest assured that the goods you are purchasing are priced
fairly according to quality, condition and age.
any customer who considers the goods he has
purchased do not meet this criteria can return them for a credit, or exchange.
goods can also be sold on an appro basis, e.g. diving equipment, so the customer can have the equipment
checked.
in 12 years of trading, replay has never had a dissatisfied customer leave the
shop. in our business, customer satisfaction - the replay reputation - is paramount.
- stolen goods
with the high levels of crime
In South Africa, large amounts of sports equipment get stolen in car thefts and house break-ins.
however replay is proud of the fact that in 12 years of trading it has never been charged with the possession or handling of stolen goods. experience tells us when goods brought to us are likely to have been stolen;
in fact replay has often assisted in the recovery of stolen goods (e.g. dive equipment
from the u.c.t. dive unit, a paraglider, and innumerable surfboards and wetsuits) and replay
works closely with the local police to try and recover stolen property.
if your goods are stolen, phone Mike and he'll keep an eye out for you. top tips:-
- do not leave sports gear in your car, on your car, under your car - or anywhere unattended!
- write your name and telephone number somewhere on your equipment.
much equipment isn't stolen - it is simply left somewhere -
the "finders" then bring it to replay to sell, and you have no-one to blame but yourselves!
